I'm Alexa and I am SO excited to be considered to capture your most special moments!

You ended up on this page hoping to get to know me a little better, so here goes! ;)

I grew up in a little town in Northern Ontario and moved to Southern Ontario fresh out of high school to pursue an education in the arts. I actually started out in a multi-media course, where we focused a little more on video than still photography. After my first year, I knew I needed to make a switch, so I enrolled in the photography program at Sheridan College. If you asked me then if I thought I would end up photographing weddings, I probably would have laughed-- I was wrapped up in all things heavily produced and rarely ventured outside of the studio. Surrounded by models, makeup artists, hairstylists, and more equipment than I could ever hope to own, I was in my happy place-- or so I thought. Before long, friends and family started asking me to photograph their weddings, and while slightly hesitant, I threw caution to the wind and never looked back! I started turning my couples into my models and started learning more about using natural light and everyday locations, rather than intricate studio setups. 

Every wedding is so different, and I love finding the aspects of your day that make it unique. I want to tell your wedding story in a beautiful and cohesive collection of timeless images that you can pass down for generations. I tend the stay away from trends, so I've spend years developing a timeless style to ensure you love your photos just as much today as you will 30 years down the road.

As a photographer, I want to provide so much more than just gorgeous photos. I’m equally as passionate about building genuine connections with each of my clients. Those connections that turn into friendships. My goal is to not only give you images that you love, but also help you remember how you felt in the moment they were captured-- even the awkward ones ;). 

I have a valid passport, an adventurous spirit and an obsession with travel-- so if that sounds like yourself and you're thinking of a destination wedding-- bring me with you! I will travel the world for you!
